Hundreds of bodies may be buried in Nepal avalanche.

KATHMANDU (Reuters) - Body parts are strewn on the slopes of a mountain in Nepal, and up to 300 people, many of them foreigners, are believed buried there by an avalanche set off by last month's devastating earthquake, as fact had it on Thursday.

Rescuers pulled out six bodies from the Langtang village area, 60 km (40 miles) north of Kathmandu, on Wednesday but operations were being hampered by bad
weather, said Gautam Rimal, assistant district administrator in the area.
About 100 bodies were recovered in the area on Saturday and about 120 more were buried there. But on Thursday he said the number could be as high as 300, including 110 foreigners. "There are body parts, broken limbs and pieces of flesh scattered in the area," as fact had it.

The government has said 7,759 people were killed in the April 25 earthquake and more than 16,000 injured. Langtang is on a trekking route popular with Westerners
and the village had 55 guesthouses catering for visitors. The village was 'wiped out by the avalanche' but it was not clear how many people were there at the time.

Large dinosaur fossil discovered in China

A 126-million-year-old fossil of a large dinosaur has been discovered in northeast China's Liaoning province.

Experts with the provincial fossil resources protection bureau said the fossil, found in a village under Chaoyang city, belongs to a 15-meter-long sauropod dinosaur living in the Cretaceous Period. The fossil was first discovered by a local villager while farming recently.

A preliminary exploration has been carried out and part of the fossil has been unearthed. Sun Yongshan, head of the provincial fossil resources protection bureau, said experts will soon work out excavation and protection plans and a professional team will be organised to carry out the excavation.

Woman in wheelchair wins treadmill on 'Price is Right'

Nothing like a good sense of humor! A comedian named Danielle Perez competed on
The 'Price Is Right' this week, but her time on the game show took an unexpected turn with one cringeworthy prize.
Perez, who has no feet and is in a wheelchair, was picked to "Come on down" and
meet host Drew Carey . She competed for big money and coveted prize packages —
specifically a new sauna and, awkwardly, a top-of-the-line treadmill. She expressed
her excitement over being picked to Carey, and was just as enthusiastic about both of the potential prizes, gushing, "These are really nice!"

Bey and Jay are celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary in the chillest way possible, while Blue Ivy spends some family time with Auntie Solange in Los Angeles. Maybe it's just Beyoncé's flowers blowing in the tropical breeze or the shaka sign Jay flashed to the cameraman, but Hawaii's starting to look really good on the music moguls.

Who will be the UK's next prime minister? Cameron, Milliband in virtual dead-heat with one day left

Britain's political leaders are in a frenetic last dash to convert undecided voters, with one more day until its election is likely to produce no outright winner.

Polls put the Conservatives and Labour neck-and-neck, with neither on course for a majority in Parliament. That means tomorrow's vote will likely trigger a period of negotiations with smaller parties before a new government emerges.

DANGOTE RENEWS INTEREST IN ARSENAL FOOTBALL CLUB OWNERSHIP

Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, said he still wants to buy English Premier League soccer team Arsenal even after he was rebuffed by its owners in 2010.
Nigeria's Dangote, an Arsenal fan worth $15.7 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, discussed buying a stake in the club five years ago before talks with the owners fell through, he said. Since then his wealth has grown more than sevenfold.

'I still hope, one day at the right price, that I'll buy the team,' Dangote, 58, said in an interview as he traveled on a plane owned by one of his companies between the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa and the Nigerian commercial hub of Lagos on May 1. 'I might buy it, not at a ridiculous price but a price that the owners won't want to resist. I know my strategy.'

Arsenal is one of England's most successful clubs, having won 13 top flight league titles in the country, the most after Manchester United and Liverpool. Arsenal Holdings Plc., the owner, trades on the ICAP Securities & Derivatives Exchange, or ISDX, and is valued at 988 million pounds ($1.49 billion).

A successful bid would make Dangote the first African owner of a club in a league where billionaires including Russia's Roman Abramovich, the owner of Chelsea, and Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyan, who controls Manchester City, have acquired teams.

THE BRITAIN'S NEW PRINCESS WAS NAMED: CHARLOTTE ELIZABETH DIANA

It's a name that immediately evokes British royal history: Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

Prince William and his wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, on Monday announced the name they picked for Britain's newborn princess, a choice seen as a tribute to both Prince William's parents and grandmother, the queen, as well as a link to Kate's family. The princess, the second child of William and Kate, will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, royal officials said.

The birth of Princess Charlotte marks a new chapter for William and Kate, widely seen as the monarchy's most modern, popular couple. But the names they chose are firmly rooted in royal family history. Charlotte, the feminine form of Charles, appears to be a nod to the newborn's grandfather, Prince Charles. The baby's
middle names honor Queen Elizabeth II, the infant's 89-year-old great-grandmother, and the late Princess Diana, William's mother and the baby's grandmother.

Traffic cop killed both attackers at Mohammed exhibit in Texas

GARLAND, Texas — Two Phoenix roommates armed with assault rifles and poised to storm an event featuring cartoons of the prophet Mohammed were fatally shot by a traffic cop who probably saved many lives, police said Monday.
One of the attackers had been convicted of terrorism-related charges in 2011 after telling an FBI informant he wanted to kill non-Muslims. Police spokesman Joe Harn said the officer who killed both attackers was a traffic officer who "did what he was trained to do."

FBI agents view evidence at the Curtis Culwell Center on May 4, 2015 in Garland,Texas. "Under the fire he was put under, he did a very good job and probably saved lives," Harn said. "We think their strategy was to get into the event center, but they were not able to get past the outer perimeter."

The Mohammed Art Exhibit event at the Curtis Culwell Center, outside Dallas, was coming to a close Sunday night when the suspects drove up to a parking lot entrance blocked by a patrol car. Wearing body armor, the suspects got out of their car and started shooting with assault rifles, Harn said.

Bernie Sanders calls for 'political revolution' against billionaire class

Self-described socialist and 2016 presidential candidate takes aim at influence of big money and criticises Clinton Foundation, Koch brothers and others.

The Democratic presidential candidate asked: ‘Can somebody who is not a billionaire, who stands for working families, win an election into which billionaires are pouring millions of dollars?’

Heralding what he called “the most unusual political career in the US Senate”, the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders on Sunday called
for “a political revolution” against “the billionaire class”.

He then seemed to include the overwhelming favourite for the Democratic nomination, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, in that “billionaire class”.

Appearing on ABC at the end of a week in which he declared a run for the Democratic nomination well to the left of Clinton, the independent senator from Vermont said on his first day as a candidate he had attracted 100,000 supporters and raised $1.5m at an average donation of $43.

The self-described socialist aimed his fiercest fire at the influence of much bigger money. “For the last 30 years I’ve been standing up for the working families of this country,” he said, “and I think I’m the only candidate who’s prepared to take on the billionaire class which now controls our economy and increasingly controls the political life of this country.

“We need a political revolution in this country involving millions of people who are prepared to stand up and say enough is enough, and I want to lead that.”

Nigeria: Igbo Leaders Pledge Loyalty to Buhari

Nigeria - Notable Igbo leaders, including retired army generals, led by the former President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr Dozie Ikedife, in a private visit have appealed to president elect Muhammadu Buhari not to ignore Igbos in his incoming administration.

They urged Buhari to give Ndigbo their pride of place in his in-comingadministration, not minding that Ndigbo did not give him massive vote during the just concluded presidential election.

“Our private visit to the president-elect was to let him know that he is the president for all and that he has to accommodate people from the South-East in his administration, whether they voted for him or not, afterall, Ndigbo are not saying that he did not win the election” Ikedife said.

He noted that while it was a known fact that the National Executive Council, NEC, of the APC had done its zoning as to who got what, the Igbo should be well accommodated and not to be left to pick the crumbs.

“We have people who are capable, qualified, hardworking and technocrats who can work with him in Igbo land. We have people like the former Governor of Abia State, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, very brilliant and very respectful. We have Oscar Udoji and other people of high integrity and dedicated politicians like Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige. And
there are people who worked tirelessly for the APC to win in the South East, people who did not vie for any elective position, no matter the low number of votes they attracted because of the overwhelming South East support for the
PDP. It is important that these people should be accommodated”, the Igbo leader said.

MEN LATEST ATTIRES

When it comes to winning the style game, measuring up to more than mediocre requires some extra steps. But don’t confuse making an effort with trying too hard.
A dapper gentleman knows the secret to mastering the balance lies in his aptitude for accessorizing.

The key is not to overdo it.If you haven’t tried accessorizing your suit, shirt, and bolt tie with a pocket square, these posts are what you need. As a
general rule, stick to two accessories—like a bolt tie or a pocket square with a bolt tie—to add some understated elegance to your look. Selecting a solid
square that picks up a colour in your tie is an easy way to add polish for the more conservative, style-conscious dude.

It is not always compulsory that your tie must match the pocket square.
Instead, opt for a color or pattern that complements the other without being matchy-matchy. Or, a crispy white pocket square is always a safe bet, too, for keeping things simple and sophisticated.

CHIC MONOCHROME OUTFIT

Black and white is a key fashion trend. It is safe to say the classic colour combination looks good on most women, irrespective of their skin tone, body structure or age. A sophisticated trend, pulling off the look may not be as easy as it seems. To stand out in a monochrome ensemble, you need to know these tips by heart.

Monochrome 101:
Introducing another colour into a monochrome ensemble would lessen the impact. So if your neckline begs for ornamentation, choose a statement piece in black or white. Shoes can be black, white, or a mix of the two, and make-up should do nothing more than highlight your brows and bone structure. Go for well-made
pieces in fabrics that will not wear out over time.

Add a pop of colour:
As subtle as monochrome might seem, it is an attention- grabbing fashion theme. Given that black and white are neutral colours, it is easy to fit in a bright colour. This makes your outfit fun and exciting. Limit it to one colour, though. Make it as loud and bold or as subtle and soft as you like. It all depends on your personal style.

Pair with prints and patterns:
Another way to style a black and white outfit is to wear the colours in patterns or prints. This is perfect if you do not like wearing too many plain solid pieces in one look or if you simply want more interesting details in your outfit. Popular choices include, polka dots, zebra prints and checkered patterns. Prints make the monochrome look a little softer. Wearing dots and stripes in the same look might seem impossible to pull off but you can absolutely combine monochrome patterns in a singular look.

Make-up:
When rocking the monochrome trend, your make-up should not be loud if you want to achieve a subtle look. If you want to go sassy, then red is a good choice. Bright yellow accessories can be fashionable, but bright yellow accessories with matching eyeshadow, crosses the border. For make-up; you can wear eyeshadow in any metallic colour you choose.

Accessories:
To brighten up a monochrome look, simply add a pair of brightly- coloured heels and chunky accessories. Add a splash of colour in the form of a single accessory such as a scarf, necklace, or pair of shoes. It is a sure-fire way of getting attention.
Pair a black jacket with a black top and white skirt or with a white top and some sleek black pants. Shoes, jewellery, scarves can all be tied into the monochrome theme or used to add a touch of colour. Bright red heels make a statement when paired with uncomplicated black and white.

Man loses wife, three children, two others to fire

Jos, Plateau State in the early hours of Saturday. The fire was said to have started

The man of the house, Ahmed, was said to have left his family at about 4 pm on Friday for a short trip to their home town of Lafia in Nasarawa State. However he was recalled by his landlord, Umar Dauda, immediately the incident occurred. A distraught Ahmed rushed back to Jos oblivious of the fate that had befallen his family. One of the witnesses, Yusuf, who shared a flat near that of the deceased, said that he was alerted by the loud explosion of the gas cylinder. He said immediately the explosion occurred the electricity in his own apartment went off.

explosion.” Sobbing Ahmed who spoke at the burial site at the Zaria Road cemetery said, “I was playing with them till 4 am yesterday (Friday) before I left for Lafia. Now I have lost everything.”
